Compressor failure- the primary reason for a compressor failure is due to old dry rotted air bags or air struts. Leaking air bags will cause the compressor to turn on frequently trying to maintain the correct air pressure, and eventually burn out the compressor.

Note: it has been tested that the main factor the compressor will burnout is due to air leaks in the system.
