Suspension Air Spring BagsWhat is an air spring bag?- an air spring bag is a hollow inflatable rubber bag. They are used in place of coil steel springs. Air bags are flexible and have a certain amount of give, this helps absorb bumps for a smoother ride.
Air Suspension Problems & Solution
Suspension Air Spring Bag Failure.
Suspension Air Spring Bag failure is usually caused by dry rot, due to old age, or gases in the atmosphere degrade the rubber from the outside. Air ride suspension parts may fail because rubber dries out. With custom applications, improper installation may cause the air bags to rub against the vehicles frame or other surrounding parts, damaging it. The overextension of an air spring which is not sufficiently constrained by other suspension components such as a shock absorber may also lead to the premature failure of an air spring through the tearing of the flexible layers. You will notice that they are leaking when the vehicle is lower after the vehicle has been sitting for awhile, usually overnight. If improperly installed the air bags can burst, an air bag should never be installed unfolded. Failing of the air bag may also result in completely immobilizing the vehicle.
Suncore Industries air bag suspension parts are engineered to last at least 10 year. When replacing an air spring bag with a Suncore Industries air bag you will be doing so at a fraction of the cost, when compared to OEM costs.
We Also Have Air Suspension Conversion Kits Available!!!
Suspension Air Bag to Coil Spring Conversion KitsWhat is a Suspension Conversion Kit?- a coil spring conversion kit is a system in which you use coil springs instead of air spring bags for your vehicle suspension. Using a conversion kit will replace the most common parts that wear out on your vehicle. Converting to coils will eliminate the air ride in your vehicle.
